Cooling hoods / cooling chambers
Cooling hoods / cooling chambers can expand your annealing capacity: No thermal energy is needed to maintain the required cooling speed after the heating and holding stage. If you transfer material to the cooling hood or cooling chamber after the holding stage, your actual furnace will be available for the next annealing process much sooner. Moving the cooling process to the cooling hood allows much more of the thermal energy stored by the furnace to be transferred to the next batch, reducing your energy costs. If required, the cooling hood can also be used to extend the cooling time; this has a positive effect on the structure of the material in soft and stress-relief annealing.
The cooling hood / cooling chamber can be produced to suit the dimensions of the bell furnace or bogie hearth furnace.
The refractory cooling hood / chamber comes in fibre block modules or fibre layers.
